I TRACE PANT 2.0 are padded ski pants made with a double fabric: stretch wool flannel and a virgin wool and nylon Cover, treated with a high-performance 3-layer membrane that is both water- and wind-resistant, ensuring excellent breathability. These pants were expressly designed for the ski slopes, with a modern design that meets functionality and high-quality fabrics. These pants are reinforced with high-tenacity waterproof nylon Cordura sections to protect the more sensitive areas of the body. Fully insulated with Thermore Ecodown® padding, 100% recycled from PET bottle fiber. The interior is lined with 100% recycled polyester fabric, with sections of bi-stretch nylon fabric for increased freedom in movement.

  • Equipped with removable elastic suspenders

  • Adjustable fit with Velcro® straps at the waist and inner gaiter in laminated bi-stretch nylon

  • Thigh pockets and bottom opening for better adjustment over ski boots

  • Side pockets with invisible zip

  • Front closure with zip and snap button

  • Taped seams

Trace Pants 2.0

Water resistance
5/5

Waterproof protection for heavy rain and snow. 3-layer membrane with fully taped seams or equivalent system

Breathability
3/5

Standard moisture management for daily wear and moderate activity

Wind resistance
5/5

Full protection from strong wind and gusts. Achieved through total-block constructions or extremely dense fabric builds

Lightness
2/5

Robust and substantial weight. Limited packability, focused on structure or protection

Warmth
4/5

Strong thermal protection for cold weather and extended outdoor exposure

Water resistance -

Assesses the effectiveness of the barrier against rain and moisture. The grading (1 to 5) measures the actual level of protection: a Grade 1 can be found, for example, in basic fabrics with high permeability, while a Grade 5 indicates total impermeability, a result that can be achieved by using solutions such as three-layer (3L) membranes combined with fully taped seams or equivalent technologies.

Breathability -

It measures the ability to dissipate water vapor and body heat. The system grades performance: a Grade 1 provides basic breathability, appropriate for protective materials for normal urban use, while a Grade 5 ensures maximum vapor escape during intense exertion, achievable, for example, with high-performance membranes (e.g., >20,000g/m²) or special active fabrics.

Wind resistance -

It measures the ability to block cold air flows. The score reflects the degree of shielding: a Grade 1 provides maximum ventilation (a typical feature, for example, of "Air Permeable" structures), up to a Grade 5 for absolute insulation against gusts, which can be achieved through "Total Block" membranes or very high-density weave fabrics.

Lightness -

It analyzes the specific weight and packability of the garment. Grading defines practicality of transport and packability: a Grade 1 is generally assigned to outerwear that emphasizes weight and structure, while a Grade 5 indicates maximum agility, typical (but not exclusive) of "Ultralight" garments, designed with minimalist designs and easily foldable materials.

Warmth -

It indicates the level of body temperature maintenance and thermal insulation. The scale rates the intensity of protection: a Grade 1 indicates light insulation, often characterized by the absence of padding or thin linings, while a Grade 5 certifies extreme warmth, which can be provided by materials such as goose down with 800+ Fill Power or ultra-high-weight synthetic insulation.
